Welcome to our bonus episode for National Day of Truth & Reconciliation 2024. This day was created in 2021 to honour the children who never returned home and survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities.

The Before the Peace podcast was created to try and help reconciliation efforts in our region. The hope is that by sharing local stories, we can help build the connection between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples. In most of our podcasts, we ask our guests what reconciliation means to them. Over the years, we have learned that it means different things to different people, including negative feelings. In this bonus episode, we have compiled some of those answers in honour of today.
